All the ones I have (about 6 of them) have two or three tracks covering both
sides of the discs. I can't really put it any better than 'Tremendous pulsic
minimalism' Great stuff, proving that funk is about removing stuff rather
than adding it.
On an unrelated note: I mentioned The Big Chill's enchanted garden
compilation CD in a recent message, and I've been listening to it a lot
lately, and its completely fabulous. So tunefull, so much fun, so damn
beautiful in places, so emotional, completely touching. I love it. Haven't
been this into a CD in ages. Listening to it constantly. Features such
great stuff as Brazillian drum and horn workout The Spectacle from Yam Yam,
an exclusive ( I think) from Luke Vibert & BJ Cole, a beautiful version of
Scarborough Fair by ambient forest dweller Another Fine Day, and perhaps the
best of the lot, a tune by 6 (count'em 6) piano group Piano Circus. Which
builds from simple beginnings to a supremely lovely climax. Almost brings
tears to my eyes.
Christ no-one is going to believe that review. Sorry I've come over all
funny.
