Last I checked, Mr. L. made one of the most engaging drum and bass
moments of 1997 w/his 10" "Piper" track that took the road FAR less
travelled (read: did NOT involve 'terror bass') this year, but bellied up
to the bass bar with as much 'big up your chest' attitude as his
contemporaries.
The track tightropes darkness and atmosphere over a rolling river of a
bassline and upstream jumping computerized punch in vocal "PIE PURR".
