Dead Cities is a really amazing disc, but I don't really think it fits in the same category
as Tri Repeatae and Public Energy. I see the Autechre and Speedy J records for as
impressionistic sound explorations where the listener is given more of a chance to figure out
for themselves what the artist trying to come across with. On Dead Cities, everything is alot
more clearly spelled out and comes across as a very cinematic record....if you are familiar
with FSOL's Lifeforms,imagine what it would be like if a bomb hit that Utopia, and you get kinda
a picture of what Dead Cities is like.
