i was initially rather disappointed with gub (considering all of the big names in industrial music appearing on the album) but after listening to the album during one of my first major psychedelic experiences it's become one of the more memorable albums i've ever owned. i'm not saying it's anywhere near my personal top-ten, but it does have its endearing qualities. oh, as far as i've ever been able to tell, the shonen knife "appearance" on the album "notes from thee underground" was a three second sample of them saying "fuck it up, pigface." hmm... i guess that would qualify them as some of them longer lasting members of the group...
