For me at least it doesn't have to do with intelligent or non intelligent
music. It has to do with originality and such. For instance, I like the
band garbage quite a bit. Now here is a pure pop band. Nothing
intelligent about them. However, they did pop in an original manner. It
amused me to listen to it. No intellectual theories on how good the music
is, just enjoyment of pop. The aphex song <based on an RA file so who
knows> is not original. It has been done. And sadly it has been done
better by others. Did I totally dislike it? no. Was it something I must
have? no. There is alot better industrial techno <or whatever you want to
call it> out there than his offering. Will I give the rest of the ep a
chance? Yes. RDJ is known for throwing a monkey wrench into things.
