O wrote: You gotta be a fuckin' Lunatic to turn a sample of the FAT BOY's Human Beat Box into a jungle track. I always laughed at that fat ass, but he was dope 15 years ago and still is in the 9 7. I write: That that track is dope as hell, and the rest of the album is pretty ace im my opinion, but I can't help but wonder aren't any of you at least a little bummed that in a lot of way Lunatic Harness is a total Tom J rip off?!? I mean the Fatboys track my Muziq is a *total* rip off of TJ's "Happy Little Wilberforce" track. Totally. TJ sampled that exact Human Beat Box bar (if you can call it that) long ago and gave it similar treatments/tweaks. Of course we all know that everyone samples from similar sources in IDM, but especially since I group MP in the same camp as TJ in terms of avant garde/weird IDM, I just can't get over *how much* this track is not just sort of like TJ's style (as is most of the breakbeat workouts on Harness), it's above and beyond similar. If I were TJ, I'd be like "Hey Mike, you copycat mofo!" ANyone agree?
