Many people on this list care about intellectual property in music and
art for several reasons. First, because it's just morally right not to
rip-off other people's work and tout it as your own. And, second, the
(oftentimes small) earnings we make from our work, sustains artforms and
musical genres that, all too often, don't get much support. Why is a Web
page author any different from a novelist or a musician if what he/she
creates is wholly individual?
