Star Wars is all about the battle between two groups:
1. those who value the spiritual over the technological
(the rebels)
2. those who value the technological and physical over the
spiritual (the empire).
The message from the trilogy is that technology is bad and that the
machines and the empire must be destroyed, that we should get back to
basics, ie, that spirituality and technology are mutually exclusive.
We IDMers on the other hand have already discovered that it is possible
to have spirituality and technology working together. So if an IDM
track were to appear it would be out of place. But maybe a bit of irony
is what is needed.
