TORQUE No U Turn NUT CD 01 well, i just fucking love No U Turn records. what else can i say? sure, they're all pretty much the same, but when you've got a style this good, why mess with it? if you've been living under a rock, you won't know that No U Turn puts out stylish techstep records with dark dark dark atmospheric textures, paranoia-inducing messed up sampling, fierce, rumbling-like-a-fleet-of-mack-trucks bass lines, and uncompromising jungle rhythms. pure class. i highly recommend you crawl out from under the aforementioned rock and pick up this double CD comp. it has all the famous ones "mothership", "technology", "amtrak", and more. and you get them all twice because disc 1 has them all separated out and disc 2 has them all mixed up live by Ed Rush. it does all tend to blur together into a big wall of frightening noise, true, but i like the hypnotic aspect of it. paranoid stoner jungle. NEOTROPIC - 15 Levels Of Magnification (remixes) NTONE CDS21 A nice mashup of dark futuristic jungle and slower dubbed out breaks manipulation. Remixers include Leon Mar (Arcon 2) and Riz herself. What's to say except: lots of breaks, lots of beats, lots of weird noises to do your head in. I like it muchly. ---jsd "Sanity is a one trick pony...you only get one trick: rational thinking... but when you're good and crazy, the sky's the limit!!" - The Tick.
