You know what they say, the more complex the mind, the more of a need
exists for simplistic play .
I have no doubt Da Punks are an intelligent group of fellows with style
and a real ear for effective musical devices, whether it be a 303 line,
hi hat pattern, a tweaked sample, whatever The fact that they choose to
present their artistic vision in a simplistic form does not diminish my
enjoyment in the least. I think the word that best describes them is
FUN, FUN, FUN. I would go far as to say they are almost nostalgic at
times (re: disco?).
And I don't feel stupid for liking them.
