honestly, *homage* to the heads had never occurred to me - after reading
the 'face' interview with CC a while back i got the impression that he
might be one of those pseudo-purists, casting aspersions upon anything
guitar-jangly-indie a la talking heads, the kind of guy who might mix
tori amos for a buck but wouldn't necessarily like it -- as those mixes
would certainly seem to indicate.
