The blech show was fun...there were a few problems, like the Freeform bit (problem with his Mac). Hurt my ears. Too bad cuz I like the cd. A lot going on at once with no way to know who's next except rumors from the back room. Autechre was ok but Mark Broom set was very powerful indeed. I just enjoy what a DJ does--so much more suited to the club environment than these "well its... interesting" live performances from someone (AUtechre)whose music is heavily reliant on subtleties of production value. Almost all the complexity and melody was absent for me. Although it was still...interesting. The AFX set was cool, if a little on the noisy side. but I was a bit tired by then and didn't stay for finish. Did seem like he was having an attack of "better play some macho noisy stuff after that Broom." Chatted with the woman who runs the MTV web site and she says that AMP is not included in the schedule because the time slot is not regular yet...it is not a conspiracy and many people at MTV are routing for its success..and apparently the show was developed with direct input from the web site team stating that "this is the music people online are listening to". thats my report...................
