briefly and politely, i hope, i just want to say: yeah, i agree with a
few others who joined the fray on the sale lists. i'd rather not see
these long posts of sales. tell listers you have items for sale, provide
a link to a page; or simply ask people to email you privately to get the
list or ask about it, which a lister did earlier this week and i trust
it worked out. don't remember who it was but maybe we can ask you, if
you're out there??? if people are interested enough, they'll make the
effort. a counter arguement might be that if they don't see exactly
what's available, they might not make the effort. perhaps true, but once
people contact the first time and they come away happy, they'll be back.
it may take some time, but any business takes time to build up, and
essentially we're talking about business ie. these sales lists.
modern music was mentioned a couple of times and they don't post sales
lists. they have a new releases list you can join privately and alan
does short posts to amb/idm to let listers know when something of
particular interest is coming out, such as the new FSOL with the cool
book, but that's about all and i don't have a problem with that.
