impossible.
there is no such thing as complete silence.
unless you are dead. and we dont even know about that.
even a silent recording makes sound. or sound infiltrates from around us.
john cage tested this theory by going into an anechoic chamber that he thought
would be completely silent.
to his dismay, he heard 2 sounds. a high pitched one (his nervous system) and
a low pitched sound (his blood/heartbeat).
hmmmm.
now that we know that we cant live in silence.
and we cant really escape sounds.
we have to bask in the glory of sound in all of its formations.
wonder what kinds of sounds are in outerspace and on other planets??
