More melodic, I'd say on the verge of ambient jungle (sorry
about using the loathed term ;) and I like it very much - one of
the highlights is "Amazon Amenity" by Chameleon aka the Global
Communication guys. The compilation in itself is from 1995;
Artcore II has also come out, though I prefer the first one.
