Weird. My Chimera "Valley of the Spirits" CD has "Surfin' USA" on it, among
other rockin' classics.
Since I decided to keep the CD for weirdness sake, I thought I'd share this
with the list. From the email I sent to Rephlex and 4th World:
I ordered some Rephlex CDs and 12"s from 4th World recently. I received the
stuff yesterday. Everything was cool (the Bochum Welt CD is fantastic!) until
I put on the Chimera "Valley of the Spirits" CD... and instead of 9 tracks of
Kosmik madness, I got... *22* tracks of what sounds like the *Beach Boys*!!! I
am not pulling anything, it's true. I checked the CD and the CD itself has the
Rephlex logo and the Chimera name on it - i.e. it looks fine.
Very weird. Probably a manufacturing screw-up. Rephlex replied that it wasn't
a joke. Guess I have to go out and buy another copy.
So... anyone want this ultimate Rephlex rarity? Let the bidding war begin! ;)
