I dunno what's with all these people posting Ebay auctions to the list,
and I dunno if this has been brought up before, since I was off the list
for a while long after Ebay was around, and on it before Ebay was ever
started.. but.. two words:
Ebay SUCKS. and that is putting it nicely. :)
1. People lie worse than Bill Clinton about the rarity/popularity of
items.
2. More bad trades occurr there than could ever occurr in the entire
lifetime of the stock market.
3. They are still bitching at me for owing them $2 for an auction I held 9
months ago which I revoked (cancelled the auction) after ONE day it was
up for sentimental reasons.
I have seen them post up the Windowlicker calendar for $50 within a week's
time of it coming out from Warp.. saying it was rare as shit and you
couldn't get it anywhere.. I ordered mine from WarpMart for like $12 or
so. :)
I know some of that stuff on there seems like a goldmine, but I wouldn't
touch EBay with a 100 foot pole. There's just been too much shit going on
there. Stick to auctions/fs lists from ppl on here, or other mailinglists
like this.. don't bother with such commercialized trash like EBay. It's
not even commercialism this time. You are literally trusting your money
with random members of a pool with a population of millions of people.
