They're a general-purpose signal processor of sorts, made for your average
struggling home-studio musician who's yearning for that certain EuroCheese
sheen. They apparently do add a bit of "sparkle" through a bit of
hard-wired EQ'ing and thickening. Obviously, something Mr. James uses a
lot.
