I think that this is one of my favorite CDs from the last three years. Definately among my ten faves. Same laid back but active direction as other Paradinas but much more funk directed with quirky, kitschy sound splotches and a Headhunter period Hancock influence. Like a 70s time capsule of jazz/funk opened and remixed by a zen monk in the year 2001 that is overheard by a corporate big-wig and apropriately used for television commercials advertising land-speeders with re-issued '71 Alpha Romeo body styles.
