i haven't seen mike and q's '95 exhibition, but around that time he was using mostly battle and booger breaks, as well as one you didn't mention--toasted marshmallow feet breaks, which is the latest record in that series...there's a series of longish tones in a variety of flavors on the latest hamster breaks 2xLP, "space travelers," that you might find useful (although it's 90 percent beats)...also, keep an eye out for mixmaster mike's own breaks record (which is _full_ of tones like that...those are his favorite scratching tools), "eardrum medicine," which should be out within the next few months... hope that helps, sc onnow: twilight 22 : electric kingdom
