I picked up this new Rephlex gem earlier this week & I'm very
suprised that nobody else has mentioned it yet. It is excellent!
Not as "unique" or "klangy" as some of the more recent Rephlex
releases and nowhere near as acrid as last year's Mike Dred CD.
Just beautifully smooth techno, polished & maticulously programmed
with just a hint of acid on some tracks, ambience on others. The
Detroit influences are quite noticable as well. I expect this
release to be a big hit with the admirers of good solid techno
but I'm not sure how the AFX/Sqpshr/Kinestesia crowd will like it.
With the strength of this release I'm eager to hunt down Mike's
Machine Codes 12"s.
