Hmmm, although I'm not sure exactly what it means to "play records live," the idea that vinyl will melt from the heat is complete bologna. I've played vinyl in the hot desert sun with no problems, but I must admit that there was a shade tent and the record wasn't on for more than few minutes. I think that most parties happen at night in Goa as well as the rest of the world. What I've heard about the Goa parties is that the DJs are extremely competitive to get the "gnuest warez", so they'll play DATs because it takes too long to get to any other media. Whether they mix the tapes or sit on their ass is another story, but what do we care anyway? I live in Utah, not Goa. The stuff that passes for "music" in the clubs here is what pisses me off more.
