Although it is of course true that the drive mechanism is magnetic, there is a little plastic part in 1200's which does have gears in it, and which does have something profound to do with the operation of the drive shaft. I have no idea what it does, but when it doesn't do it right, things go awry. My table just ground to a halt and it was this very part which was the culprit. If you like I can send you schematics off list (they are very pretty). The files are too big for IDM. Hope my vague knowledge is of some use. Cheers, Christophe Brock Suter wrote:
