my copy is 'on now' and "i got that feelin'" the octagon man (electron - tron6) phonic maze/the rimm The phonic maze is a storming and well off the wall hyped up stylus scraping J. Saul funky mash up drum and bass flavored jam which is thankfully made in "his own" style (not some washy attempt to front) with a warm acid line and klonky dragons tail tempo. Cant wait to hear it at max volume. Kane rules. Wheelup. The rimm strikes out into a funky knife sharpening odd ball octonic distorto chord slice of trance funk. Again, not something you play end to end so much as you drop in and drop jaws with. There's great lateral movement percussion (the stuff that makes you shake your butt) and as well engaging themes for the dancefloor going the distance. All the while delightfully weird. Hang tight for the locked groove on the end of this side. Teep PS: Big brutal 12" here...can't wait to sink my teeth into the sem 2x12" which I saw for something like $12.99 so make sure nobody rips you off cause it sure looks damn fancy in it's jointed plastic sleeve (which comes packked with a sticker insert.) aran parillo | PO box 581 | cambridge ma | 02142 | usa | aran@mit.edu
