denver is awful, portland is awful, everywhere is awful, but what
are you going to do about it? there is no promised land of IDM, you have
to create your own. in my experience, the more people in a city, the
percentage of the cool people/dumb people stays the same, there's just
more of them.
many people think dj's are sycophantic, but many more see the
value in them. i know plenty of dj's i would rather watch than see some
bands/artists/performers play. vice versa. your rabid attitude will not
play too well here on IDM, but something tells me you are more scream
than substance anyway, so it doesn't really matter.
