i picked up the autechre 12' for "anvil vapre" a while ago. its excellent of
course and due to its age i won't go on. however as i was listening to it
rather loudly the other day it occurred to me that such distortion at really
high levels may actually be dangerous for loud speakers. For instance when
crver came out with the sonic hologram generator, which produced a spatial
effect using pulse high frequency distortion, it was deemed distructive.
anyone with any opinions about the safety of mu-ziq, aphex, autechre etc songs
which use siuch extreme sounds?
