Short and Sweet.
T-Power-The Self Evident Truth of an Intuitive Mind
Shout out to Greg 303 for the review of this a while ago, I found a copy
finally, and this is the shit. Excellent fusion of techno and jungle.
Mike Dred $ Peter Green-Beyond the Box-Excellent! Very well produced!
Teknotika-The Invasion ep-Gigi Galaxy
Weird combo of electro, tribal, monk chanting and a military style
narration. Interesting!
Analog Attack-Computer Controlled-DJax records
Music for massive sound systems to be pumped at 3 am while the warehouse
is lit by a green laser. If you like it deep and pumping this is the
SHIT, the sound of a spaceship taking off into orbit! Sorta like the Aphex
Twin (R and S style) or the Source. Heavy, well produced acid and techno.
The Last Judgment ep-Cold Rush Records
Originally released in 1993, my prayers to the techno god's were answered
when I saw this had been
repressed. 8 am the Fog track is absolutely kickin, it sort of sounds
like a combo of Energy Flash and Metapharstic (sp?) by the Aphex Twin,
while another keyboard whistle an U-Ziq type of melody. It moves me,
but I am a sucker for techno that has the depth of the purist techno,
with the excitement and spontaniety of the ravier stuff.
Air liquide-Red-Smile
Hot damn! Some wicked cuts on this one. Highlights being the cuts
Interactive Warlords, Tanz der lemminge remix by dj Hell and Tom, Hal's
favorite, and
perhaps one of my favorite most emotional techno songs I have heard in a
very long time "The theme from Robot Wars-system engaged remix by
Vaporspace" fucking excellent! Very emotional without feeling too sappy
or contrived.
Crazy Puertorican vs. Blancitos-Butter beat records #2
Wicked hip hop and electrotronic trip hop....And some slamming old school
rythyms, sort of like Dj Icee on a lot of hard psychedelics.
