Stockhausen is totally justified in his comments of "old fashioned", his
contemporaries gave up looping and tempo twenty years ago. However, they
weren't concerned with dancing and beatmixing!
Someone asked for suggestions on his work. Try "Gesange de
Junglinge"(ironically "Song of the Youth"), Stimmung(8 piece vocal number),
Trans(excellent orchestral work with the sound of a shuttle weaving left to
right in stereo across a loom), Momente(one of his best known, utilising is
compositional technique of Moment-forming). For more info check out the
