Id say the best band and probably the perfect band for what you described is
Dalek. Some of the most intelligent lyrics mixed with extremly noise
distorted and blown out hip hop. Their new stuff has kind of a squarepusher
manipulation to its sound and definitly has traces of IDM in it. They also
have Indian music influence in there as well. But they often dont get
attention cause its very noisey something the hip hop crowd isnt exactly
opening their arms to. They have a split coming out with Techno Animal in a
week or two and a 5 song CD/LP on Gern blansten thats been out for about a
year. Some of the most mind blowing shit i have heard. I couldnt recomend the
stuff more.
