It was broadcast via ISDN, so I guess it was internet in the wider sense
of the word. Exactly the same sort of thing FSOL have been doing. The
studio link-up was part of a program covering various social and
technical aspects of the internet and computer techonology in general.

I guess it was excerpts from a real speech. Wouldn't really be 'sad but
true' if they had doctored it :) Major is perfectly capable of spouting
