hello all-
back on the list after a year off to clear my head. interesting
thread on commercial/music - one point that didn't seem to get made
is that GENRES are not commercial, though artists/producers/labels
wihtin a given genre may function in a very overground/commercial
way. for every flavor, there are bound to be people who work hard to
make interesting music without regard to fashion, money or any other
commercial interests.
the reason that i post though, is to perhaps ask for some help. we're
involved in setting up a chessie / stewart walker / kit clayton tour
for early march. we're trying to do "non-techno" venues, like art
galleries, universities, performance spaces, plain old rock clubs.
we're sticking to the east coast and ohio/illnois/michigan to keep it
simple and doable. if anybody thinks that they can help out, please
get in touch.
thanks-
mike
