Maybe nobody really cares, but I'll say this anyway. I've never taken
drugs other than pot, but I there's something to be said about smoking a
large amount of pot and listening to some really good music. It comes ALIVE!
You feel great before, during and afterward. No hangovers, no problems
functioning in your daily life, and you can quit whenever you want. I
haven't smoked in a long time, but I'd really like to again. I miss it.
I had a great time and I found the music to sound MUCH better this way.
Anyway, for those of you who bash drugs without experiencing them, you
don't know what you're talking about. I don't think people should go for
the really hard stuff, but that's their decision-not mine. I haven't
checked lately, but as far as I know, I'm still not God. I personally
refuse to do heavy narcotics because I don't think the feeling's worth the
risks involved. If you choose not to do drugs, more power to you. That's
mighty fine with me. It's your decision.
When we smoked up, we sat around listening to cool music, eating and watching
some neat TV shows. We didn't go for a drive or anything dangerous like
that. So as long as we find something like this to enhance our enjoyment
of said music, I believe it's relevant to the list and people should be
allowed to talk about it.
If you don't like the subject, you don't have to read it. I'll tell you what
I do. If something's not of interest to me, I don't read it. It's a quite
novel approach, and it works remarkably well. It's been said a million times
before, "If you don't like the subject of someone's post, rather than
getting all pissy about and starting a flamewar (like certain four-legged
creatures have repeatedly done (much to everyone's lament)), hit the 'D'
button, and everyone will be happy." I really think this will work better
than relying on the N.P.'s (net police) to tell us what we can and cannot
talk about.
PS-I hope I don't get kicked off the lists for posting this stuff. I
just thought this might put people in a better frame of mind when reading
this stuff.
