Yes indeed he did along with Youth, Laurent Garnier, Lol Hammond etc
The Water CD is of course AMBIENT music and very nice too
if you like the Hillage cosmic guitar sound
which I'm quite partial to myself even tho I hate guitars
(dons flameproofs)
The Fire CD is cool house/techno mixes of the same trax.
It's not exActly avant garde but very tasteful.
Actually I think System 7 are generally cool ...
their set at Phoenix was rockin
Hillage is about the only old hippy to have got
a handle on techno and ambience, as evidenced by his fine
taste in collaborators.

I'd recommend both CDs
for best value - get the ambient CD and the 12" of Sirenes ...
DJ TIP : it's lots of fun to mix both CDs together
Albums split like this should encourage DJs to EXPERIMENT ...
