[snip] Some of the tracks are pretty murky in terms of harmony, you're right (track 2 especially). Low bass tones seem to lose pitch value to my ears like in this track, making traditional harmonies based on them problematic. Reminds me of the psychoacoustics thread a couple of weeks ago. On all the tracks the vocal melodies tend to meander a while before resolving. That might be making it sound less in-key. For my money the vocal lines are much more sophisticated, expressive, and soulful than typical IDM melodies. What a great CD. =) Cheers, Brad --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
