Just an observation - it seems like the demographics of IDM match those of the Prog Rock crowd of 10-20 years ago - white, middle-class, college-aged guy. I'm sure there are others out there (I know one 43 year old IDMer, and I'm 31), but I'd wager that this group is in the majority. Does anyone know any women that PURCHASE IDM type music? (Thanks Tamara, for responding to BASS and being exceptional!) I've seen plenty of women at raves, though most I've talked to say they prefer house to techno. How many women are there out there actually composing IDM? Will it take 15 years for IDM to be reduced to an safe, easily masterable cliche as happened w/ punk & the riot grrrls? PEACEOUT MR-808, making trouble (again)... Now on Sony: Texturology - Beaumont Hannant
