I don't know if I posted this before...it was a text file I typed in still on my account...so I'm not sure if I actually ever sent it... -kc I got the astralwerks Summer '94 sampler, and there's this cheesy but FUNNY song on it called "I Need Drugs" by FRD (Flaaman/Porter). It's got tones of acid, techno, and gabber...in a corny way... but anyway, check out these lyrics (it's a rap): [verse one not included] I need drugs...I need drugs... who's gonna go on the drug run? who's gonna go on the drug run? I know exactly what I'm missing, I got my M-T-V, and if that's the real world, it just don't include me. A less distorted picture is right outside that door, it comes in a factory sealed package for a nickle dime or more. I have visions of my future, when I wake it's just not there, the last thing that I need is to be more aware. But the worst part about it, and I know you'll all agree, is when assholes sell me acid when I think I'm buyin' E. It was horrid, I got forced into reviewing it for the next issue of URB and I really tried to be fair and constructive but I didn't get too far on that angle... I never thought by looking at the track listing that their cover of Visage's "Fade to Grey" would end up being the best thing on there. :) Hug Your Waistline to the Bassline............................................ I second Orion- upon listening,I for a fleeting moment found a half smile on my face, but this was quickly replaced by disgust at the music (and wasted tape space!). I would not want to go out and buy a compilation, thinking I was hopefully buying some rich, new music, only to discover juvenile joke ditties taking me for a ride. It was not even half funny on the first listen, and more than annoying ever since...somebody hit the fast forward fast..... .... ... .. .! -thad
