there's a one page ad in a german mag for ai 2. warp is distributed by rough trade in germany, so i wonder whether the track listings are the same or different in the uk versions (i don't know how much changes on the way from warp to rough trade). anyway, they're different. so anyway watch out and choose before you order or buy one or the other. i already regret having ordered the lpltd version. all formats (cd, lp, cdltd, lpltd) have mark franklin - release to the system hia - selinite link - arcadian b12 - scriptures autechre - chatter speedy j - symmetry beaumont hannant - utuba rh kirk - reality net balil / bdp - parasight seefeel - spangle. the following tracks are cdltd only: polygon window - my teapot kenny larkin - maritime scanners (hidden track) and lpltd only is (extra 12"): something by kenny larkin (maritime?) darrel fitton - metalurg p.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Since this clearly isn't on the US limited double CD on Wax Trax, I have to ask why, back in June, KRAKHED@AOL.COM went ballistic when mikebee suggested that the US issue might be missing tracks:
quoted 12 lines for the last time..THE DOMESTIC IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE IMPORT!!(with the> for the last time..THE DOMESTIC IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE IMPORT!!(with the >exception of the metallic gold ink which makes the type too hard to read if >you ask me). > >I'm really sorry if you guys have bought comps in the past with tracks >missing on the domestic but that's not the way WAX tRAX does business.to my >knowledge we (WAX TRAX) have never released a comp or LP without all the >tracks from the import.I'm kinda pissed off that just cause other domestic >labels have cut tracks that you would assume that we would.REMEMBER..i'm just >as into this stuff as you are. >PLEASE RELAX . >I'LL TAKE CARE OF IT.
He can't claim that since it isn't on the import CD, it shouldn't be on the US CD, since "Maritime" isn't on the UK CD, but it's on the US. So I ask, why was "Metalurg" left off, and why wasn't KRAKHED straight with us about the fact that it was being left off? I wouldn't be complaining, if not for the fact that I was led to believe that I was getting everything, by somone indignant about it. Yes, this was mentioned as "scanners (hidden track)" in the original message. C. -- cspot@netcom.com (Chris.Hilker)........a good-foot dance in a dusted trance

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Hmm... I live in Sydney, Australia and bought the AI2 limited edition double gold CD as an import. My 2nd CD has the usual tracks (as far as I know) then: darrel fitton - blipsalt ---> Does this track appear on your copy? polygon window - my teapot kenny larkin - maritime scanners (hidden track)

It's all quite confusing really, but he's probably right if he was only talking about the standard AI2 release, which he might have been. He probably was, since if Warp gave the rights to the ltd edition release, to WaxTrax, it wouldn't be so limited anymore (if you get my drift). Still its annoying and a dubious marketing ploy on Warps part... well I think so. Regards, John /-------------------------------------------------------------------\ | JOHN BUS (aka. It was clear and yes I do have the UK limited edition double CD. My point was that if TVT releases it locally in the US, it doesn't become limited edition anymore. So the original guy was probably only basing it on the standard AI2 release.... Well maybe. :) My understanding is that limited edition usually means a set number of no more than 10,000 copies. :) Regards, John /-------------------------------------------------------------------\ | JOHN BUS (aka. Unless their edition is also limited (which it is: the US double CD is starting to get hard to find).

I sincerely doubt it, considering that the post that raised his ire was a call to cross-reference all the limited editions Warp put out to check if all the tracks would be included. C. -- cspot@netcom.com (Chris.Hilker)........a good-foot dance in a dusted trance

Hence making the fact that the limited part of the so called limited edition CD a joke... it means that any o/s record company can pick it up and sell it. What makes it limited?

It is my understanding that the US release is limited in this fashion: first print (fading...fast? I dunno) was/is a 2 CD set. Subsequent printings are supposed to be ONE CD. The vinyl is the same here and overseas; TVT just imported copies and slapped a sticker on the back with domestic issue info and catalog numbers. Later. (P.S. the quote you were wrongly quoted for was mine, in part.) =B)

I don't know about this -- the first CD I found (at Best Buy, not too long after the release date) was the SINGLE disc, w/out extra tracks. In fact, if anyone has a line on the double-disc, drop me a line... I have not seen the single version. I just remember what the one-sheets from WaxWarpTVT said way back when. I still have a couple of the 2-CD version for sale at work. $22.00ppd if you wish. That's the best I could do. We aren't a mail-order service, but I hate to see people in need when it comes to music. =B)

There is, but its by the very much over-rated Scanner who basically just scan the mobile phone network for suitable conversations to drop into uninspiring ambient dawdling... Bleurgh. Well to the hidden track anyway. :) Regards, John /-------------------------------------------------------------------\ | JOHN BUS (aka.
