i recently released a track under the name electron love theory called 'power of the people'. it combines samples of interviews from WTO protesters here in Seattle with happenin' electronic grooves. this thing has caught fire. it's getting airplay on a major seattle radio station. last week electron love theory was interviewed on a local tv station. real networks will be featuring the song on their site. and usatoday has chosen us as a hotsite. literally hundreds of thousands of people have been exposed to this track in the last seven days. i just wanted to turn you on... jeff electron love theory http://www.lovetheory.com http://kndd.com http://www.usatoday.com/life/cyber/chd0110.htm --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I'm happy for you Jeff, but your music is not IDM. maybe you think a drum machine (dance?) and samples of people who's rights were violated (intelligent?) = IDM, but it does not. -- On Tue, 11 Jan 2000 05:34:29 Jeff Leisawitz (S&T Onsite) wrote:

Yes, very true. There didn't seem to be much of a track of music, just political commentary. Unfortunately, and I have seen this much too often, the Anarchists were ignored. There were two distinct groups of protesters there. To focus on only the non-violent protesters is to give a diservice to an entire group of people. My favorite quote from the entire WTO debacle was this. An Anarchist was throwing a brick through a Starbucks window and a non-violent protester screamed, "you're giving us all a bad name." The deft reply was, "this is self defense!" Cheers, Lee Azzarello On Fri, 14 Jan 2000, Roy G Biv wrote:
