I just bought (among other things) Eat Static's "Implant" and Jeff Mills' "Waveform Transmissions Vol. 3" (what happened to #2?) on vinyl, because the store(s) didn't have them on CD at the time. I just downloaded Dave's latest EAR/Rational catalogue, and yup, there they are on CD :-( I'd really rather have these on CD (albums on CD in general, unless they're different like the *cough* mu-Ziq), so before I rip open the shrinkrap in disgust for my impatience, I just thought I'd ask if anyone was interested in buying them off of me first. I'd quote the prices here but I'm still at work; obviously I'd just want the cover sticker price plus shipping ... (I assume they're in the neighborhood of $15-$20 US; they're both double LPs.) Greg's handy-dandy UNIX tip of the day: Easy way to go through Dave's catalog to get right to the meat of the matter: egrep "\[[0-9]*\]" catalog | more (since all the Techno stuff has the "[NNNN]" tags) - Greg

Waveform Transmission #2 was by The Vision. It was released shortly after #1 by Axis (US) and Tresor (Europe). There are some nice tracks on it, and it was also released on CD (thw Tresor one anyway). For those who are confused, Rob Hood (Rob Noize) is The Vision -- he's ex-UR and Jeff Mills' partner in Axis Records (as well as being part of the X-100 series projects). | Dave Walker, Detroit Art Services (DAS) | | | | marmoset@msen.com My name is (zxqygbblkddfg) and I am funky. |
