I was in shock when i entered my local music vendors shop to see three cd's i have been interested in just sittting there as if to taunt me. I did not bring any money with me because I knew that I would probably be tempted to buy something...(I am saving all my money so as to be able to afford a train ticket to go and visit my girlfriend...) The store had... Terre Thaemlitz...(im sure this is QUITE misspelled...) Deep Space Network... and FSoL's lifeforms (paths) EP... The store was also haveing a huge sale... back to school type of thing... I was having a cow... I have 110.00 cash...the train ticket will cost 58.00 I need food money so that will be at least 30.00... I will need money when i return so i need to reserve at least 20.00 for groceries... thats a total of 108.00 that i had planned to reserve... Now...my girlfriend will be supplying me with half the fare...so thats 108.00 - 29.00..so thats 79.00 Ill need...but she might not reimburse me until i get there....so i might still need the 58.00... plus I will be getting an additional 40.00 at payday... so that is a potential 69.00 i could have extra... i am still afraid to blow the wad on all the discs... so what i need to know is which ONE of these discs is worth buying right now? I can always starve myself after I get back. (Variables here are...when my girlfriend rides the train up here I will have to buy half her ticket...so i will need at least 29.00 on reserve) Sorry i made such a short story long...but it ius back to school time so we all need to brush up on our pseudo story problems... jasonosaj

Are you asking us to loan you money? :-) You know, the solution is obvious. To be a good trainspotter, you are to forget all about your girlfriend and rumbling stomach and buy ALL the CDs. And the back catalogue as well...;)

I would recommend the Future Sound of London EP. ::Matthew J. Corwine Online Editor, XLR8R Magazine:: ::mcorwine@hyperreal.com xlr8r@hyperreal.com:: ::mcorwine@u.washington.edu Ambient Temple of Imagination:: ::206.328.9368 atoi@hyperreal.com::

I found a promo of Terre's (spelled right :)) album at a local used sh last week and i am *VERY* impressed by this album. I got the chance to meet Terre(where you at?) at an ambient party in nyc this past June, and am pleased to have found his album. It's really great melodic ambient, 'fat chair' has great acoustic-guitar-sounding riffs in it and there's another track whose name escapes me that has a slamming nice shuffle-beat in it. I definitely recommend this album, but don't expect serious dance music. This is chill fare. mikebee

The Doctor is [ IN ] [ ... convoluted tale of woe elided ... ] Your solution is simple: Ditch the girlfriend for one that's local. CD's go out of print, so you need to get them while they're available. You can always find another girlfriend; plus, if she's local, then you wouldn't have this dilemma in the first place. 5 cents please :-)

The question is not WHICH of the three you should buy now...you should buy ALL of them IMMEDIATELY! The real question you should ask YOURSELF is, "What the fuck do I need a girlfriend for when there are CDs this great sitting at the store waiting for me?" Al.
