How many times have you been poking about at hyperreal,
looking for interesting tidbits, seen the R&S directory, and said,
"Neato! Now I can find out what's on all of those CJ Bolland (Source,
Mental Overdrive, TZ, TC, Locust, etc.) releases that nobody will sell
me!" How many times have you been bitterly disappointed to find out
that it's the same incomplete thing that Greg Eden graciously scanned
in for us out of an old issue of DJ Magazine? Too damn many, I bet!
I want to change all of that! What I want to do is create an
R&S discography in the same form as the two-part Warp discography: One
terse version, with one-line entries for each release, and one full
version, with song titles, release dates, and all kinds of neato
ancillary matter. I'm a trainspotter. I love trivia. ;)
But in order to do this, I need LOTS and LOTS of help. I have
the (old) R&S, Apollo, and Aphex Twin discographies, but they're only
a fraction of what's been put out. I need all of you with R&S, R&S UK,
and Apollo releases to dig them out, type in the artist name, release
name, catalog number, copyright/release dates, and complete (w/times,
if available) track listings, and then mail them all to me. I will
coordinate and format everything and compile the result into a pretty
setext discography. I know you folks have this stuff, because you're
always talking about it. So give it to me.
Everybody who contributes something (regardless of whether I
got it from sixteen billion different sources) will get a credit in
the finished discography. Start sending me stuff and I'll get to work.
putting on my trainspotting hat,
