All I have to say is that the Hartnol brothers can do no wrong, Snivilisation is great. The cool thing is that they seemed to have such a defined sound, even what they did with great vocals. There are 3 or 4 tracks that are more ambient-techno (for lack of a better term) and they are killer tracks. I have to say I enjoy this Orbital release than all others, not to take others lightly but this one tops my list. Also, check out Autocreation's latest on Inter-Modo, excellent ambient stuff, under water listening experience. Mohsen

I didn't particularly like this one... I'd bought the album because I enjoyed their track on TEEX 2, but unfortunately that teex2 track isn't indicative of the quality of the album. They come from the minimal-dark school of ambience -- to be honest they often remind me of some of the soulless noodling of the poorer FAX releases. They hit the mark on a few tracks (eg. Justice Loop), but I just can't get excited about the album as a whole. Pity.

Rob I was also very disappointed by this album. Is there such a thing as gothic idm? The band admit they don't care for the happy, uplifting aspects of ambient, because they don't reflect real life. Well, anyone whose life is reflected by this gloomy album is someone I feel sorry for. Please get some counseling. Life ain't that bad. I'll repeat once again, the Juno Reactor "Luciana" CD is brilliant. Forget your preconceptions and just appreciate it for the wonderful composition that it is.
