fsol lifeforms howdy gang. i just got the FSOL "Lifeforms Paths 1-7" single and it is, as expected, really excellent. The single is similar in feel to the Lifeforms album, so if you liked that you'll like this. Liz Frazier's vocals are tasteful and not obvious. I think I actually prefer the album as an overall entity, but this is definitely a worthwhile addition to your collection. Only one thing - did they have to use that sample from KLF "Chill Out" QUITE so obviously? Ah well... /jon

Well, I wouldn't hold it against them, 'cuz the sample probably came from Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon anyway. :) bryan

Oh! So THAT'S what that is! I thought it was a train...since they like trains so much. :) -kc

You mean the train? Heh. Ya, I noticed that on the (edit) version on the Astralwerks Summer '94 sampler. Liz Fraser's vocals are nice...not any real lyrics...just chanting...in her weird, raggae sorta way. Hey Jon, cool job on the Freaky Chakra "Big Aura" track. It's also on the sampler. The track is...well...freaky...in a funky sorta way...trippy funk! :) While I'm at it, the other good tracks on this Astralwerks sampler are "Pressure" by Spacetime Continuum. It's electroy, kinda like Kraftwerk, in an Aphex sorta way...zap! Trancesetters' "Meeting of the Spirits" is quite good for tribal trance, or trancey tribal, however you look at it. Well, tribal in a trancey sorta way. Very nice. And of course the AFX Fast Mix of "Time to Find Me" by Seefeel is just too pure... in a heavenly sorta way... (no pun intended) The Steve Fisk track, "Express God," is bizarre. Who is Steve Fisk? Wasn't he a member of some rock or punk band? Anyway, I think I've said enough for Astralwerks...in an annoying *SORTA*WAY*.. :) -djkc
