this list comes courtesy of Gaia Mantra Records - in thee technopolis of San Francisco.........net them @: mantra@netcom.com.............PEACE...out-M-13... TITLE. ARTIST. LABEL. TIGERTRANCE\LUPITA TEKNOTIKA SUBMERGE both sides written and produced by Gary Martin, deep dark trance with technoid over tones, both tracks are long rythmic percussion pieces verging on tribal. ACIDIC ALTERATION HEATH BRUNNER\TRENT ABBE VMAX four excellent manic acid trance tracks on a much improved pressing over the last vmax offering.Varying in intensity and mindnumbingness our favorite is the title track and we highly recomend this piece to all vmax fans and if you havnt heard this label this is definatly worth checking out. OCTAGON\OCTAEDRE BASIC CHANNEL BASIC CHANNEL the less ambient of the two recent basic outings, long percussion workings with the distinctive channel sound in full effect. One sides drum patterns sound like upbeat reggae or ska different definatly! RADIANCE BASIC CHANNEL BASIC CHANNEL wierd wierd wierd.A must for any discerning ambient head, outrageously sub production and almost nothing to compare it to exept other basic channel efforts, theyre pushing the direct to cassette mastering sound a long way.Highly recomended for serious chill merchants,we promise many raised eyebrows and consciousness. ANALOG 5 FREDDYFRESH ANALOG hard hard hard did we say hard?acid six tracker varying speeds up to 160 mental 303 in a hard core stylee, not for the faint hearted. PULSAR RECORDINGS 3 ? PUSAR RECORDINGS four tracks on an unfortunatly bendy bit of plastic.Very good acid not as manic as freddys outing on analog. If you got pulsar 1 and 2 then you know what to expect, out of the acid stuff we'd say this is number 2 behind the brilliant vmax this week. HIGH TIDE ASTRAL MATRIX O.O.B.E hot of the press.Local S.F musicians second release the first being an import from a few months back.Good progressive trance type of tunes, three tracks in all, the long side is very dj friendly with lots of good snare and high hat build ups .The two tracks on the flip are a bit harder and less obvious. WE LEFT THE PLANET VOYAGER 8 SINEWAVE we actually sold this out within an hour of getting it but ill have more next week. The best bit of domestic trance this store heard in eons. Damon Wild ex of experimentals new label with him twiddling the knobs expressivly to say the least.Brilliant build ups with firm sequencing and a heavy kick a bit like Juno Reactor, good melodies abound over the four tracks. For the trainspotters its Damon Wild and Steve Stoll.
