much as it pains me to disagree with teep (and i know you won't take this personally, given that we agree on pretty much everything else), i just have to rush to the defense here. i just can't see a track like "survivors" as "acid by numbers" or "motionless"... in fact, i think it's easily one of the most innovative tracks i've heard all year. and it does go through some wild mutations before busting out into one of the all time feel good dance climaxes. trance? i don't think so. ok, granted the title track and dzhopa dream are more on the typical trancedance tip but everything else on the album more than makes up for it. i just can't say it strongly enough: this album is 2nd only to Future Sound Of London in my Top 10 of the year. i've been listening to it continuously since it arrived. fifteen thumbs up. /jon

Agreed. Five more thumbs from me. I have to say that Eat Static are trancy, but not in the 'typical' way. I think that the arrangements are trancy, but the music is freaky. Mushroomy. I don't really know how to put a label on it. Their music is trippy and surreal. Teep. Try it out on Acid. Then tell me what you think. I'm really into the track that starts off the CD.. (though I can't seem to remember the name of the track) Brilliant. \jeff
