I got the latest from seefeel yesterday.
Polyfusia.
It says it is a conglomeration of all their cd singles into one full
length cd. U.S. only. I would think it was cool to have if I lived in
Britain...:)
I liked it O.K....The "Time To Find Me" left a lot to be desired.
I enjoyed the remixes of Plainsong...They had beats. I was amazed.
The best two tracks on first listen were "Time To Find Me" (Afx fast mix)
and "Plainsong" (Sine Bubble embossed dub)..
However I thought the Sine Bubble track should have been at least ten
minutes longer. It builds and builds and just when the track gets to the
point where it is quite layered and intense...its over. i was disappointed.
The Afx slow mix of Time To Find Me was almost ten minutes...though i did
not notice much that was different from the fast mix...it sounded as if
all it was was the fast mix slowed down...there were a few other sounds
and some reverb effects...but other than that it was just slowed down.
But i guess thats why they labelled it fast mix, slow mix...
As usual I do not have my cds in front of me so i cant list the tracks or
times or give a review of each song.
I would say that this is a good disc as far as Seefeel goes..
I am more interested in their new stuff that will be coming this fall i
hope...
Also if i ever get AI2 i will be thrilled just to have it...but there
should be better seefeel material on there...
They also promoted polyfusia as featuring 'new art' etc etc...but i do
not think the cover is much to scream about...i could whip the same thing
out in ten minutes...but it is bright and cheery...a funny contrast to
the music...
Possibly more later...
