Hi.. my programing director, who works for Virgin, which distributes caroline, which distributes astralwerks, on which FSoL are on in the US, gave me a tape. He said it was some totally original work by FSoL, that they were giving out to college radio stations all around. (it is on a standard blacnk tape that you buy in a store...not mass produced) well anyways, i am playing it on my show on monday, but i imagine i get to keep it. it sounds like just more of lifeforms, but it's nice (i wasn't too thrilled with lifeforms though). my point? well if any one would like a copy, i'd be glad to make you one. just send me a tape, and return postage. drop me some e-mail and i'll send you my address and whatever else you need. :) -Gil

hmmm... sounds like you got your hands on FSOL's much ballyhooed new project! Instead of touring the U.S. FSOL produced about thirty original tapes to be broadcast across the country, in what they call the "3-D Headspace Tour." Each tape is *unique* to the station it was made for. Here in Florida, WMNF will broadcast it on July 14 at 10PM. I think it is *really cool* that FSOL would do something like that... and I also think that if your station doesn't play that tape, you should send it back to Virgin (after dubbing it of course) because that's just good hard work from FSOL that's being flushed down the drain... but that's just me. What do others think? Don't you think FSOL intended the *radio audience* to be able to participate in the "3-D Headspace Tour"? I mean, I can understand trading tapes of these shows, but if it doesn't get broadcast, that's not really fair, either to the band, the label, or the fans, now is it??? ***************Greg******Dean******Schmitz*************** ************"I danced my way out of the womb,************ ************ I'll dance my way into the tomb...********** ************ Is it strange to dance so soon?"************ ************ from "Cosmic Dancer" by T.Rex.************** ***************Greg******Dean******Schmitz***************
