(Im forwarding this from another list ..fluid) From: hydrogen.glow <t808@PHANTOM.COM> Subject: SETI (+ notes) hey all.. it looks as tho my new project SETI is about to hit stores (if it already hasn't)... for those of you who don't know about it.. it's an ambient collaboration between myself and my friend savvas (Instinct's OMICRON).. the project is based on a story by author madison blue, a short story appears inside the cd booklet... the project is really minimal ambience..recorded as one song (60 mins.).. thru many changes... if you hear it.. don't judge any of it by any one part.. it goes thru a dozen or so movements... however... THE MASTERING PLANT FUCKED UP!!!! the DAT master for the album had IDs written at various sections... meaning.. that although the album is just one song.. the song was broken down into segments (not with audio breaks tho) with separate cd "tracks".. giving the listener and DJ the opportunity to go to any one particular part... however, the mastering people didn't put these IDs on the cd !!! i popped it in my player last night to find just ONE id/track.. so.. i apologize for the inconvenience for those of you who buy it... it's a shitty mistake on their part.. but, fortunately it doens't affect the music or how it's "supposed" to be listen to. if you pick it up..let me know what you think. other notes: the debut OMICRON release "acrocosm" will be out soon... for those of you who bought his first little ep "symbolis".. this is VERy different... it's an ambient/weirdness album..and, in my opinion one of the coolest, most original full lenghts i've heard in a while.. no filler..really cool.. to note, it's very synthetic and un-earthly.. ie: no birds or "recognizable" sounds.. Terre Thaemlitz's album comes out the same time as omicron... many of you know terre and his sort of avant garde/experimental brilliance.. well.. before i sound too much like an advertisement... peacelove
