Yikes. Been away for quite a while, but I thought I'd take just a second to thoroughly recommend two CDs I picked up recently... Uzect Plaush--More Beautiful Human Life! Apparently an anagram for Paul Schutze, the man who brought you "New Maps of Hell" which I now really really need to find (help...Drukman...?) "Discrete Global" first caught my ear with it's simultaneously mellow, tribal, ambient, spooky, beautiful, groovy feel. "The Falling Dream" unfolds in Eno- esque cycles, and avoids the overly reverbed textures of so much pure ambient stuff. The more upbeat tracks remind me of standing in the winds of Jupiter. Truly. Excellent Almost as good is Tournesol/Kokutsu...suffice it so say that "Electric Church" put me into one of the most serious trances I've ever been in. Yeek. Thjs album is a bit heavy on the swooshy, echoey effects for my taste, but hey it sounds good. On a totally unrelated note, I read that the Orb's label InterModo is going to release the album by Autocreation, who you may know from their remix of Seefeel 's "Plainsong" or the track "Dark Smile" on Excursions in Ambience II. I've been looking forward to this... --Seofon

Autocreation is Mark Von Hoen, along with some other peeps and as well as being Locust ("Weathered Well", "Skysplit", etc.) he is also Seefeel's sound engineer. Well, he was on "Pure, Impure"; I'm not sure about their recent stuff ("Quique", "Starethrough EP"). [CiM]

Autocreation = Sine Bubble = Locust LOcust recently played the Oscillate allniter here in Birmingham...sadly I wasnt able to go, but they were supposed to have been storming. Can anyone get hold of a complete discography of this guy because the bits that I have heard have been pretty amazing. The Sine Bubble remix of Plainsong was one of the best of last yr's tracks... ta darko...
