The Silent Metamix Got a neat promo (?) item from Silent Records - The Silent Metamix, a 70 min CD ambient mix by someone named Mark Riva. Featured tracks: SOLITAIRE - In The Forest Of Ancient Light HEAVENLY MUSIC CORPORATION - Ambient To Be Here, The Quiet Mind, Beautiful Dream, In A Garden Of Eden SPICE BARONS - Spice Of God HORIZON 222 - Spirit Level ULTRAVIOLET CATASTROPHE - Full Moon COSMIC BREEZE - Carrying Galaxies DEEPER THAN SPACE - Deeper Than Love H2O - Undersea EARTH RISE - Spaceship Melody JORGE REYES - Tejido de Sueno's (Cola de Venado) all Silent artists, of course. not a bad little ambient mix. if only they'd included The Bicycle Ride by Pelican Daughters... /jon

I believe this CD is a freebie with the latest issue of _FAD_, a trendy fashion magazine out of SF. I saw this in the stores a couple of weeks ago, but there was practically NO information on the outside of the package about what the CD contained. So I passed it by. Damn. :-( -- Mark Turner mturner@netcom.com
